Intravenous Sedation

Intravenous Sedation

Dr. Thoman and his staff are sensitive to the fact that many patients are nervous about having oral surgery procedures.  Because of this, we are able to customize an anesthesia that will provide the maximum comfort and safety for your procedure.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons are uniquely trained to provide a wide range of anesthesia options for their patients.  They are one of the few specialties that join the anesthesia department as a resident and receive direct anesthesia training by attending anesthesiology staff.  This training experience allowed Dr. Thoman to provide anesthesia for a wide range of medical procedures for patients that ranged from infants to older adults.  Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons also have a stringent licensing and recertification process that assures maximum safety for their patients.

The range of anesthesia provided by Dr Thoman and his staff range from simple local anesthesia to Intravenous sedation that will allow an individual to be asleep during the surgical procedure.  Dr Thoman is committed to patient safety.  He is ACLS and PALS certified.  He has regular training sessions with his staff to make sure his staff is up to date on anesthesia procedures and emergency protocols.  Dr Thoman is also committed to continuing education to make sure that he provides to most up to date care available.  We are proud to provide patients with high quality and safe anesthesia in a caring environment.  Please talk with Dr Thoman and his staff concerning your anxiety so that we can customize the anesthesia necessary for your comfort and care.
