About the Doctors

Dr. Thoman

Dr. Thoman has trained with many of the leading experts in the surgical fields of implants, orthognathic surgery, cleft lip and palate, pathology and reconstruction as well as facial trauma. Since starting his practice in 1992, Dr Thoman has strived to provide that same level of exceptional care that his patients deserve. Dr Thoman completed his Dental School training as well as a General Practice Residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He then went on to receive his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland Oregon. After completing his surgery residency, he practiced full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in his private practice in Honolulu Hawaii for 15 years before returning back to Colorado Springs where he now lives with his wife and two children. In his free time, Dr. Thoman enjoys running, bicycling, mountain climbing and skiing.

Dr. Hambleton and his family are excited to call Colorado home.

Dr. Hambleton recently moved from Washington DC where he trained at Washington Hospital Center, John Hopkins and Children’s National Medical Center.During his training, Dr. Hambleton had the privilege of working with some of the most notable clinicians in the fields of dental implants, orthognathic surgery, and facial reconstruction.

Prior to his training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Hambleton earned his dental degree from Boston University School of Dental Medicine. He graduated at the top of his class with the Suma Cum Laud distinction. He was inducted into the dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a society offered to select students who demonstrate academic and clinical excellence. Other awards include the Dental Pathology Award and Clinical Diagnosis Award.

Originally from Idaho, Dr. Hambleton grew up skiing, mountain biking and hiking.Upon graduating from high school, he moved to Utah where he attended Brigham Young University.Following college, he moved to Salt Lake City, where he worked as a research assistant in the Department of Cardiology at the University of Utah School of Medicine.While working at the university, he met his wife, a medical student working towards a career in Anesthesiology.Between her residency in CO and his residency in Washington DC, they moved across the country a few times, but eventually returned to CO to finally establish permanent roots.

Dr. Hambleton and Katie now live just outside of Colorado Springs. Their free time is spent hanging out with their son Jack and their Chesapeake Bay retriever, Everest, and exploring all of the beautiful aspects of Colorado.

Dr. Hambleton maintains hospital privileges at St. Francis, Penrose, Memorial Central, and Memorial North.He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Colorado Dental Association and the Colorado Springs Dental Society. He is current with his ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications.
